PARTICIPANT INFORMATION FOR SAND, PLAY & ART WORKSHOP:
Bringing Sand to the Workshop: Please bring 15 to 20 pounds of sand to the workshop for experiential exercises. That amount of sand should fit nicely in 2 or 3 one gallon-size zip-lock bags. You can probably find a natural site for collecting some really nice sand. If not, craft stores sell small bags of sand, usually in 1-pound bags. Try to find sand that feels good on your hands. If you have a sand tray, please borrow a little sand from it. It is difficult to dispose of extra sand at the conference site, so please plan to take your sand with you when you leave the workshop. If you have difficulty bringing sand to the conference, just send us an e-mail to let us know so that we can bring some for you: sandtray@comcast.net
Bringing Miniatures to the Workshop: Please bring a small basket with 8-10 of your favorite miniatures, marked with your initials. It is not necessary to go miniature shopping if you do not already have miniatures. We will have plenty of miniatures for our experiential exercises even if you cannot bring any. It might be fun, however, to look around your home to see if there is anything small that really appeals to you. Or if you have some miniatures in your own sand tray collection that touch your curiosity, bring them along - just to explore for yourself what those miniatures might mean to you. Try to keep the size of the miniatures small for this conference since we will have limited table space for displaying them. Please be sure to mark your miniatures, or make a list of them so that you will be able to retrieve all your miniatures at the end of the workshop.

PARTICIPANT INFORMATION FOR WORKSHOPS:
Bringing Sand to the Workshop: You will need approximately 20 pounds of sand for the workshops. That should fit nicely in two gallon-size zip-lock bags. You can probably find a natural site for collecting some really nice sand. If not, garden stores and craft stores sell small bags of sand. Try to find sand that feels good on your hands. If you have a sand tray, you could borrow it.
Please be prepared to take your sand home with you as it is difficult for us to dispose of sand at the beach. It is illegal to dump sand onto the beach, and it is too heavy for the garbage cans. If you need help unloading or loading the sand to and from your car, please let us know. If you have difficulty bringing sand to the workshop, send us an e-mail to let us know so that we can bring some for you: sandtray@comcast.net
