Sand Tray Training Institute is a privately operated business located in Corrales, New Mexico.  It is operated for the benefit of Mental Health Professionals.  We also offer workshops in other geographic areas.

Our workshops include hands-on experiences to facilitate the participant's understanding of the sand tray therapeutic process.

Continuing Education Credits

The Sand Tray Training Institute of New Mexico is approved by the following to offer continuing education credits:  California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBSE  Provider #PCE 2942) for LCSWs and MFTs - Provider: Theresa Kestly; the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling (Provider Number: #50-1741 - Exp. 3/2009); the National Board for Certified Counselors, NBCC (#5972) and the Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners (#CS4663).  The New Mexico Board of Social Work Examiners accepts continuing education as being Board approved if approved by other state social work boards in the United States (The Institute is approved by Texas).  In addition, it is approved by the Association for Play Therapy, APT (APT Approved Provider 99-052), to offer continuing education specific to play therapy.  The Sand Tray Training Institute of New Mexico  follows all CE guidelines and maintains responsibility for the program. All courses meet the qualifications for 12 (24 for Level 6) hours of continuing education credit for MFTs and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
